REDUZIERT,  Thomas Heinser’s newest body of work and exhibition at Gallery 16 in San Francisco. February 5-March 18, 2016,

The exhibit features Heinser’s aerial perspectives of California’s recent geographical changes.

In these images idyllic land is “reduced” to its devastation from drought or fire, reflecting the impact of energy usage and climate change. Heinser’s visual language renders these realities with a subtle stillness. Ultimately Reduziert references the essence of reduction, rendering a new image language that is both abstract and social.

Stick Pony  mounted all 20 of Thomas's large images to 4ply archival museum board, The ideal choice for the artist. The Stick Pony team was able to deliver the work to the gallery for installation well ahead of the deadline.

Robert Buelteman

Photographer Robert Buelteman is celebrated for his unique approach to photography, creating vivid imagery using only the most basic tools of his craft: light and film.  His most recent exhibition Life and Shadow: An exhibition of works by California photographer Robert Buelteman opened at theGerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe New Mexico on Jun 26, 2015.  Stick Pony mounted Robert's images to dibond which were then framed.

Thomas Heinser

Thomas Heinser photographs man-made interventions (highways, runways) that cut through open landscapes. Sometimes it is a natural intervention, such as water,  but the effect is no less jarring and fraught with some implied intention.

Stick Pony is happy to have Thomas as one of it's valued clients.

Chris Sollars

Stick Pony is pleased to be mounting new work by bay area artist Chris Sollars.

Artist and director of 667Shotwell, Chris' work revolves around the reclamation and subversion of public space through interventions and performance. The results are documented using photographs, sculpture, and video that are integrated into mixed-media installations.

Doug Rickard

Lately Stick Pony has had the pleasure to mount a group of Doug Rickard's recent work which was shown at the Stephen Wirtz Gallery in San Francisco this past May.  Printed at Dickerman Prints and coming from Rickard's series A New American Picture, Doug uses images sourced from Google street view and recontextualizes them in stunning large format pieces focusing on urban decay.

Rickard's work reveals "... the devastating effects of an increasingly stratified American social structure"

In addition to Rickard's website, he also publishes a blog stocked full of essays, reviews and interviews with fine art photographers.
